Extensions
Any domain registrar worth its salt must be able to provide a wide selection of extensions to its customers, which NETIM, thankfully, offers by the boatload. They have your run-of-the-mill top-level domains, such as .com, .org, .net and the like, for those who prefer sticking to tried and tested domain extensions, for starters.
Meanwhile, if you prefer to associate your website with its country of origin, NETIM also offers country code top-level domains. Some of the extensions they offer include: .ac, .ae, .af, .fr, .jp, .kr, and .ma, among many others. If, on the other hand, you prefer to associate your website with a certain industry or profession – or if you simply want people to immediately know what category your website falls under – then the wide variety of generic top-level domains might be right up your alley. These include, but are not limited to: .academy, .accountant, .actor, .adult, .aero, .agency, .band, .bargains, .blog, .cars, .healthcare, .love, and .photography.
Finally, NETIM also offers two optional extensions services: the Trustee Service and Local Contact Service. The former allows you to successfully register a domain in restricted geographical areas – made possible by NETIM being declared as the registrant in your place. The latter, meanwhile, is like the Trustee Service but, instead of NETIM taking your place as official domain registrant, they will be declared as the administrative contact of your domain. This allows you to circumvent certain geographical restrictions that apply on a contacts level.

Pricing
NETIM prides itself on providing round pricing that eschews the traditional pricing model that leverages human psychology. In other words, don’t expect price tags like $9.99 – NETIM will round that off to an even $10. Even better, their pricing is both transparent and honest, so hidden charges are, thankfully, nowhere to be found here.
While all that is well and good, it’s imporatant to note that some of NETIM’s prices are slightly more expensive than more popular domain registrars in the industry. Their .com extension, for example, goes for $13.00, whereas it can go for as low as $10.29/yr with Namecheap. The same goes for their .net extensions, which goes for $13.00 as well – but can be had for as low as $12.48/yr with Namecheap.
One could argue, though, that NETIM’s slightly more expensive pricing is worth the cost. If you are on a shoestring budget, no one would fault you for going for much cheaper options. But if you look at what NETIM offers as a whole, it just might be worth spending some extra cash for – especially since they bundle a bunch of free services with every domain registration.
Free Features
As previously mentioned, each domain registered with NETIM comes with a host of free features in tow – including, for starters, an online control panel, email forwarding, web forwarding, and DNS Anycast service. You can also activate auto renewal if you are the forgetful type. When activated, this feature automatically renews your domain registration 7 days before it expires – if your credit is sufficient, that is.
Beyond that, NETIM also provides WHOIS privacy, which is activated for you automatically and at no extra cost – a huge plus since you would have to pay extra for this service elsewhere. NETIM can also protect your domain against theft during registration or at the tail end of transferring. Take note, however, that both features mentioned here are not available to every domain extension, and in the case of WHOIS Privacy, what data you can hide depends largely on the country.
Finally, you also get a free DotClear blog, which you can use as your main website, or host on a subdomain. You get 1GB of storage space and 10GB monthly bandwidth. This ad-free blog is yours as long as you use NETIM as your domain registrar.
Customer Support
NETIM’s self-help options are, for the most part, fantastic. Offering detailed, Wiki-style self-help articles that tackle everything from registering a domain name, to using forwarding services, NETIM manages to successfully condense a wide range of technical topics into easily digestible chunks. If you need to contact their support team, they can be reached via email, postal mail, fax, or a ticketing system. Take note, however, that support availability is only from Mondays to Saturdays, from 8am to 6pm (CET/CEST).
What's the Verdict on NETIM?
NETIM Review 2020 – Conclusion
Though not as popular as some registrars out there, NETIM proves that they have what it takes to be an enticing alternative. On top of their vast repository of both traditional and unique domain extensions, the company also bundles a host of useful features at no extra cost. Meanwhile, features like their optional Trustee and Local Contact services, which offer registrants a way to circumvent certain domain registration restrictions, further differentiate NETIM from the crowd. Those who are likely to take advantage of their WHOIS Privacy or domain protection features should do a bit of research though, as the company does not offer these features across all their extensions. Meanwhile, those who are on a shoestring budget might want to check out other domain registrars as NETIM’s prices, though not unreasonably expensive, are still a tad pricier than others. That said, if you can get past the minor gripes, there is definitely a lot to like about NETIM.
