Minted was founded in 2007 on the belief that great artist are all over the world but have no access to consumers. So Mariam Naficy, the founder of Minted, started the company as a way of exposing the world to new and wonderful independent artists through an e-commerce website. Their very first design challenge was held in 2008 and garnered 55 unique entries and Minted has been growing ever since.

After thousands and thousands of designs and artists, Minted finally established a strong presence being recognized by LinkdIn as part of the 2014 10 Most In-Demand Start-Ups among job seekers and Mariam Naficy was named one of the 25 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company. From their humble beginnings to what Minted is as a company now, they have always believed in the creativity of independent artists and have put design first.
