Creating an account on Loopster can be done for free. Aside from registering using your email, you can also use your Facebook or Google account to start using their editor. Now, this free service includes 1 GB of storage, a 1 GB maximum upload size, videos with 480p resolution, and a 10-minute timeline. Take not that this plan has the Loopster intro and watermark shown when you publish your videos. If you want to have both removed, you can pay a small fee of $1.99 per production, and you can even enjoy the upgraded features.
The Plus Membership costs $4.99 a month, or $47.88 when billed annually, and bumps the specs to 10 GB of cloud storage, 2 GB maximum file upload, 1080p video resolution, plus a 2nd audio line, voice recording, a 20-minute timeline, slow motion and fast forward video effects, scene printing from stills, 600 sound effects, and the Loopster watermark and intro trailer are both removed.
Meanwhile, the Movie Producer Membership contains all of these features, but the cloud storage allocation is increased to 20 GB, for $9.99 a month or $95.88 for an annual billing.
For Education and Business
Loopster also offers an educational package costing $79 every three months for professors and educators, where each package can cater to 100 students. It packs 200 GB of cloud storage, a 30-minute video timeline, a collaborative work space, and all of the Movie Producer Membership’s offers.
They also have the Business Package that goes for $129 every 3 months. You get 100 GB of cloud storage, up to 50 employees per package, and all of the features of Movie Producer Membership package as well.

Loopster focuses on providing users with a simple experience when it comes to video editing. You’ll only see five tabs in the editor, namely: video, images, audio, transitions, and text. Sadly, there are no color filters or animation options here. Under the video tab, you can upload your clips and search through them via the toolbar. The same goes for images and audio, although with an upgraded account, you can access their graphics and song library.
You may get disappointed when you check their transition options though, as you only have six transition shapes to choose from – circle, star, diamond, square, light bulb, and heart. This selection pales in comparison to other online video editors which offer a wide array of choices that can really make your video look unique and creative. Lastly, you can add text, text effects, and set text properties and the duration. You can save your project and continue later on, or publish it right away.
Loopster Mobile
Loopster isn’t just available via the web, you can alo download it into your mobile device via the Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore. Since smartphones have improved significantly over the years and have become viable tools in the photography scene, having an app on your device for editing clips afterwards can make your life even more easier. So make sure to download their app so you can edit your videos even while on the go.
Submit a Video, Win a Subscription
Perhaps in a bid to motivate its users to improve their craft, Loopster holds a weekly contest wherein users can submit their Loopster-made videos to get a chance to win a prize. Simply upload your videos to YouTube, copy and paste the URL to the corresponding section in the Projects page, and wait for them to review the videos at the end of the week. The winner will get a Movie Producer Membership subscription free for a whole year, and get featured on the company’s website.

Loopster Review 2020 – Conclusion
Loopster still has a long way to go before becoming a great video editor as they have a lot of room for improvement in terms of features. They do have cheap rates that make them ideal for those on a budget though. Plus, they offer a collaborative work environment, and have a free, though understandably limited, account that you can use to test out their service. Even better, Loopster’s weekly contest where you can win a year’s worth of subscription to their most expensive plan is unlike any in the industry. Not only does it work as a great motivator for improving one’s craft, it allows winners to save a significant sum while getting to utilize more features. All in all, Loopster is a great way for video editing beginners looking to get their feet wet, but those looking for a more advanced editing tool would do better to look elsewhere.
