WeVideo originally started as Creaza, an online creative tool for children that can be used both in school and at home. Since the program became widely used in several European countries, the investors decided to make a spin out company focused on video creation, and thus, WeVideo was born. While the limited publish minutes for the free plan and 720p resolution for cheaper plans might turn off some users, it does get a lot of things right. Things like compatibility across several platforms, free cloud storage for easy file access on any system, and access to licensed music make this a fairly attractive option.
