Among the lesser recognized website builder platforms in our list is Web.com, sometimes confused with Webs.com. Web.com has supposedly helped some 15 million sites be created since their platform launched with their "1-2-3 system" to create a website without any prior knowledge. That being said, deceitful billing practices coupled with supremely lackluster themes and a severe lack of features leaves us unsure who those supposed 15 million users are.

Deceptive Pricing - Web.com gets you with "introductory first month pricing" of as low as $1.95. In the fine print, it mentions that from the second month onwards the minimum price jumps to $22.95 per month automatically. In addition, cancelling a subscription is challenging.
Poor Themes - The themes on display at web.com look like they would be right at home in the 90's, especially compared to some of the fantastic website builders on the market today.
Poor User Interface - Almost all website builders today provide a free trial. There is a reason that web.com does not.
No Blog - There is no blog functionality within the web.com builder.
No Mobile - For a website builder to not include a built-in mobile site functionality today borders on absurd.
Terrible User Reviews - Users on average rate the company very poorly with a lot of complaints about business practices.
Lack of Features - Other website builders are loaded with features including built-in SEO, marketing features, selling features, none of which come with web.com.
