The “smart technology layer” is a separate pad that you overlay on the mattress itself like a regular bed cover. Setup only required putting the cover on the mattress, plugging in the power cord, and installing the companion mobile app (available for iOS and Android) that would serve as data repository and control center for the mattress’ smart technology functions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div> Speaking from experience, the Eight Smart Mattress delivers a commendable blend of firm support and enough give in the material for a comfortable hug. Finally, there’s the four-inch-thick high-density support foam, which gives the whole mattress a sturdy but breathable base.<\/p>\n Eight manages to combine these layers in a way that feels homogenous, so you don’t feel any distinct differences between each layer.<\/p>\n Some users have reported a notable degree of motion transfer, meaning light sleepers might have a problem with disturbances if they’re using this mattress.
