In this latest version, you&#8217;ll find a proliferation of templates and presets, as well as assistants and wizards for just about every feature.<\/p>\n<h3>Optimized for Ease of Use<\/h3>\n<p>It starts with Movie Edit Pro&#8217;s interface, which is designed for both control and flexibility. Based on your workflow, you can move, remove and even resize windowed elements until you&#8217;re satisfied and everything is just right.<\/p>\n<p>After that, it&#8217;s time to import video and audio clips for editing. A handy import wizard allows you to organize, preview and select media of different file types from a range of sources. A universal timeline makes it possible for you to view different file formats simultaneously, without needing to convert anything. Movie Edit Pro then provides a total of 32 tracks for you to arrange your clips in; and if that&#8217;s not enough, it&#8217;s worth noting that you can combine video and audio from a single source into one track. You can also use a quick access feature if you want to trim video clips before importing them directly into your project&#8217;s timeline.<\/p>\n<p>Many other improvements help\u00a0speed up project editing;\u00a0such as features to easily move and animate objects, and even interface redesigns with your work optimization in mind. Perhaps the best one is the Slideshow Maker, which automatically analyzes the footage you give it and creates a finished video&#8211;complete with transitions.<\/p>\n<h3>Functions and Effects<\/h3>\n<p>Suffering from shaky footage? Movie Edit Pro has professional grade image stabilization&#8211;the exact same technology is also available for VEGAS Pro, but only with the mid and high tiers&#8211;that will make unwanted movement a thing of the past. Perhaps the most well known video effect is the use of a green screen; the program offers that too. As long as you record footage in front of a solid and plain background, you can put in whatever background you want. You also have access to color controls that go way beyond basic options: correct hue problems, reset the white balance, and even change the image saturation. On top of this are a myriad of transitions, decorative features, movie templates, and over 250 different title templates.<\/p>\n<p>OpenFX architecture has also now opened up Movie Edit Pro users to the possibility of multiple plug-ins for extra customizations to the program.<\/p>\n<h3>Not Just Video, but Audio, Too<\/h3>\n<p>Of course, Movie Edit Pro&#8217;s audio editing capabilities can&#8217;t compare to something like what VEGAS Pro offers, but for the price point, it&#8217;s definitely more than sufficient. You can automatically generate a custom soundtrack from a huge sound archive, specifically to punctuate important scenes in your videos. There&#8217;s also a function that normalizes audio levels within your project, evening out the sound and fixing portions that may be too loud or too quiet.<\/p>\n<h3>Plus and Premium Features<\/h3>\n<p>MAGIX offers three tiers of Movie Edit Pro; so far we&#8217;ve talked about the basic and lowest tier. Mid tier Movie Edit Pro Plus and highest tier Movie Edit Pro Premium are both more expensive and more feature-packed. Both support multicam editing&#8211;although this maxes out to only four camera angles&#8211;and offer 99 tracks to work with instead of 32. Both also have advanced effects, some of which are: secondary color corrections, blur and HDR effects, fisheye correction, effect masks, and more. There&#8217;s also room for stereo 3D support, more complicated key frame editing, proxy video editing\u00a0and preview rendering.\u00a0In terms of audio, both also offer a sound mastering suite and 5.1 capability.<\/p>\n<p>Movie Edit Pro Premium has Vasco de Gama 9 Essential, which is a high quality, detailed travel route animator; as well as NewBlue Titler Pro Express, which gives you the ability\u00a0to work with and animate&#8211;using drag and drop options&#8211;2D and 3D titles that you can either create from scratch or choose from over 60 templates.<\/p>\n<h2>Movie Edit Touch for Android<\/h2>\n<p>MAGIX offers a free mobile offering\u00a0with optional premium features you can buy as in-app purchases. For most users, just the capability to start a project on the go&#8211;at work, while waiting in line at the bank, on vacation at the beach&#8211;is probably enough for them to download this app. You can either transfer these projects wireless from your Android smartphone to your desktop to finish using Movie Edit Pro, but the app is good enough for you to make simple edits right on your tablet or smartphone.<\/p>\n<p>With Movie Edit Touch, you can arrange\u00a0and trim video clips, add background music, and add transition effects&#8211;all for free. Tools you need to pay for separately include cinematic effects,\u00a0image optimization, the ability to create titles and add text, and several additional transition effects. You can even purchase the ability to export your Movie Edit Touch-made videos in HD quality.<\/p>\n<h2>Pricing<\/h2>\n<p>Movie Edit Pro&#8211;the most basic tier&#8211;is available for only $69.99, and is a really good deal for casual users and beginners. Mid tier Movie Edit Pro Plus is the bestseller, though, and usually considered the one that provides best value&#8211;at $99.99, the same price as the basic Roxio Creator NXT 5 offering&#8211;because it adds so much for only $30 more. It&#8217;s also a must if you plan do multicam editing.<\/p>\n<p>Movie Edit Pro Premium adds $30 more on top of that&#8211;its price is a cool $129.99&#8211;and only offers two additional features\u00a0that you won&#8217;t likely ever need to use unless you&#8217;re a professional video editor. That being said, if you&#8217;re a professional on a budget\u00a0and in no real\u00a0need for an\u00a0exhaustive and complicated setup, Movie Edit Pro Premium could be right for you.<\/p>\n<h2>Customer Support<\/h2>\n<p>MAGIX has a relatively small but loyal user\u00a0community, a slew of video tutorials, a Knowledge Base, and two kinds of company-provided support&#8211;tech and sales&#8211;backed up by telephone support, which you can contact during weekdays only.<\/p>\n<p>A personal service area comes with creating a user account for the MAGIX Service Center, which you can only do after purchasing the software.
