Services and Pricing
Membership at Inventory Source is free to start, which allows you access to their supplier directory, among other basic website features. You can’t sell anything, but you can research suppliers and check out the seller community before you put any money down.

TurnKey Shopify Stores
If you don’t have your own website, you can sign up for Inventory Source’s TurnKey Shopify Store package. For $50 per month, you can setup and configure your own online store. Inventory Source gives you a selection of TurnKey templates to choose from, and Shopify powers your payment gateway, product catalog, pricing and shipping setup, and more.
Each TurnKey Shopify Store comes with free Inventory Automation services for one supplier. Bear in mind, though, that Shopify Store registration and setup is a separate fee of at least $29.
Custom Import File
If you’re looking to integrate supplier data with a store or marketplace that currently isn’t supported by Inventory Source, you can opt for this service. At $40 per month for one supplier and $40 per additional supplier, you can cut down on the trouble of keeping your inventory updated.
You can configure pricing and categories, and Inventory Source will help customize the file so that your supplier’s inventory fields are mapped exactly to the format used by your sales channel or marketplace. This saves you the hassle of having to manually update every field. Inventory Source updates product quantities and catalog entries twice daily.
Push to eBay Tool
If you’ve subscribed to any of the services listed above, you’ve got this feature for free. However, if you’re just looking for a way to push supplier product listings to eBay, you can cut down on costs by simply purchasing this service instead. At $25 per month, you can source listings from one supplier; any additional ones will cost you an extra $15 monthly.
Inventory Source lets you filter through your supplier’s integrated inventory feed. You can then create different product categories and push your sale items to eBay in conveniently organized batches. You can do the same for individual products, and Inventory Source will immediately pull down any that go out of stock.
Website Compatibility
Inventory Source can integrate with a growing list of platforms such as Shopify, Zen Cart, Joomla, WordPress, Yahoo Stores, and many more. If you’re a website owner chances are that the platform you are using is compatible with their integration service. Don’t forget to visit their website for a complete list of compatible website platforms.
Customer Support
Inventory Source offers support through phone, email, and support ticket, so you’re always just a call or click away whenever you run into any problems. These guys are a joke. I just spot checked 20 random UPCs in one of my suppliers feeds compared to the suppliers website. 2 were correct 5 items showed in stock levels higher than my minimum requirement but were in fact out of stock. One item they showed out of stock but the supplier actually had 20. I wish I had done more research before putting this much work into it.
The company is a joke. The customer service is non-existent, (the phone # is a recording), they don’t respond to emails or support tickets. Before signing up I had asked of my suppliers if they knew who Inventory Source was and they had not. So, I decided to use InventorySource with another Supplier I had signed up with because they had 100’s of products I wanted to use. Then when I tried selecting the products, there was nothing in there database (this is a company with 33K products). I immediately sent a support to tech and they told me they could not connect because they didn’t have an API….WTF? They were already supposed to have these relationships set up with the suppliers to be ready to go in minutes. That particular supplier charges over $100 monthly for their API, in addition to the monthly fees IS charges. I have requested a refund numerous times and have filed a bank claim for the charge. I paid, they provided me with NO service. I think this is a scam company and if you read the REAL reviews on Shopify for this from real customers they also say how much of a nightmare they have had with this company. I feel their pain and thinking of taking legal action against this company.
Thanks for such a great review, inventory source is really amazing and I really suggest all people to read your review deeply to understand all the features on this inventory management software.
Glad you liked it, Ana! We try our best. 🙂
There was no mention of any market research tools, while Dropship Direct was dinged for this in the Cons column. I think a better review format would be a comprehensive spreadsheet with category headings. All this verbiage is inconsistent from review to review and seems to include a lot of the marketing speak the actual companies put out to the public.
Hey Wendy,
Thanks for the great tips. Ever considered a job writing reviews? ;). We’ll take a look at these reviews to see if there are in fact any inconsistencies.
