Billbooks’ pricing model is designed for users to have a pay as you go experience, meaning you do not have to subscribe to a full month to be able to enjoy their services. You pay for a pre-set number of invoices, and you can later purchase additional invoice credit when you need them. They have a free package which includes 3 invoices. Their Small package costs $10 and includes 20 invoices, with 50 cents per additional invoice. Their Medium package costs $20 and gives you 50 invoices, and at 40 cents for additional invoices. Large consists of 100 invoices at 35 cents per additional invoice, and is priced at $35. Lastly, the Extra Large package includes 200 invoices at 35 cents per additional invoice, and costs $60. All of their packages come with unlimited staff and client addition, and free estimates of projects.
Aside from the features mentioned above, their products also include customized columns, software keyboard shortcuts, faster usability, online payment system, registering recurring expenses, auto payment reminders, customized invoice layout, customized item display, importing and exporting of data, and multiple currency selection and multi language support.
Ease of Use
Billbooks enables four keyboard shortcuts so you can easily access their pages. I will open an invoice creation, E for estimates, C for clients and X for expenses. They also have a quick count of the contents of each page at the sidebar. For example, under Invoices, you can see how many drafts, pending, closed, disputed, and recurring invoices are in your account. Under Estimates, you can see the count of drafts and sent items. Also at the sidebar, you can see the reports that can be generated in the system, like profit and loss, invoices, item sales, expenses, collections, outstanding, and tax summary. Creating a new invoice is easy. You can enter the typical details like invoice number, PO number, date, client, and invoice title. You can then enter the item name, description, quantity, and amount, plus the tax applicable. There are buttons to add new lines, new items, and new tax. File attachments can be made for a maximum of 5 MB. You can also add notes and your terms and conditions. Saving the draft is always a wise decision, so you can have templates in case of the need for a second billing for the same client.

Simply signing up for Billbooks entitles you to three free invoices including free estimates, unlimited staff registration, and unlimited client profile creation. Signing-up is simple and only takes a few seconds- simply register your company name, your name, email address, preferred domain name, and password. You would have to configure for your start-up settings like your country, timezone, currency, and language. You also need to indicate which month is the start of your fiscal year so they can keep track of yearly financial advances. After this, you are ready to enjoy your free account. Notice that they do not ask for your credit card information, so you can be sure that they won’t have any hidden charges or fees after a certain amount of time.
