Pricing and Features

Unlike most invoice software brands which offers tiered pricing and plans, kBilling has only one price tag for their software. One license costs $99, and it already includes the full features of their product. They offer price markdown for multiple purchases- 2 or more licenses will give you a price drop to $89 each. Upgrades for the full version is free for the first year. If you want to continue receiving updates, you can do so for $49 per year. They do state that if the customer is unsatisfied with the purchase, they have a money back guarantee, although there are absolutely no details or procedures to know more about this policy. You may have to contact their customer service team for more info.

Aside from invoices, kBilling also offers database storage for customers, products and services, and quotes and proposals. They also have the option to automate billings for recurring invoices, and generate different reports. Do take note that they do not have a time-tracking feature in their program, so you would have to settle for a separate software for monitoring if you plan to bill by the hour/ minute spend on a project for a client. They also lack a team support feature where you can add other individuals to your profile and monitor their tasks and duties.

They have three categories for their invoice templates — professional, service, and tearsheet. Professional is geared towards product-based businesses that utilize sales tax and SKU codes (Stock Keeping Unit). Service, on the other hand, is preferable for businesses that offer services or are labor-based, and include work descriptions in with the item name/description. For this, the Quantity field can be the total hours worked, while the Price field can be the hourly rate. It is also important to note that decimals are openly supported in this category. Lastly, Tearsheet is designed for businesses that offer subscription-based services and, just as the name implies, has a portion of the invoice that can be torn off and returned with the payment.

Customer Support

kBilling has a pretty loaded FAQ page containing details on their features and order processing. If you wish to get a hold of a customer service representative, you can do so by reaching them by phone, email, and paper correspondence. Unfortunately, they do not offer any live chat support, nor do they have accounts in social media. Nevertheless, you can be assured that they will respond right away to your concern or query with a credible and relevant response.

kBilling Free Downloadable Trial

If you want to have a taste of kBilling without shelling out full price — which is a hundred bucks — then you are in luck. They are offering a free trial of their software! Just head over to their website and click on “Download kBilling”, wait for the download to be completed, install, and – tadaaa!- you can already use kBilling in making invoices. Upon login, you will have to create a new company profile, or use an existing profile if you have a saved data on your system.

The only limitation they are imposing on the trial version is that you can only see up to 10 results in their search feature, which is actually not a big deal since you can also pick the specific item from a dropdown list. Be sure to take advantage of this offer!

kBilling Review 2020 – Conclusion

kBilling is a simple and straight-forward invoice software that provides the most basic features you will need to do the job. They do not have a lot of complications when it comes to using their software, simply download, install, enter your information, and you are ready to go. In fact, their service is overly basic that it borders on being jurassic. Not a lot of gimmicks and extra services can be found up their sleeves. But if you are looking for a software that simply gets the job done without a hitch, then kBilling is definitely a worthy recommendation.
