Important Buyer Information
Homestead have recently rolled out major upgrades to their services and features, including new and more modern templates, tools for building interactive blogs, and most importantly, responsive mobile design. This has been reflected in a $2 increase to all their fees since our last review.

Pricing and Features
The most expensive does not always mean the best, and it’s important to know what you need and get the best value you can for that. Homestead offers three different paid subscriptions that you can try for free with their 30-day trial period. The key here is not just to try out Homestead’s different features, but to see which subscriptions fit your needs and budget.
Starter Plan: $7.99 Per Month
This is Homestead’s cheapest subscription rate, and as we’ve mentioned above, it gives you hardly anything to work with. You’re allowed one website with a maximum of 5 pages, 25 MB of storage, and 5 GB of bandwidth per month. You lack most of the essential features, so you’ll have to pay extra for online stores, email addresses, and even domain names. You’re better off looking at Homestead’s other packages.
Business Plan: $22.99 Per Month
While this plan is significantly more expensive than the Starter package, it does come with a lot more features. To start off, you get 3 websites with 100 pages, 5 GB storage and 100 GB of bandwidth. You also get a custom domain name and 5 email addresses. This is Homestead’s most popular plan, since it offers a good balance of features/resources and price.
However, you’ll have to pay extra for the e-commerce/online store or marketing tool add-ons, which cost $14.99 each.
Business Plus Plan: $62.99 Per Month
For a significant jump in price, you can get unlimited websites with unlimited pages, plus 10 GB of storage and 500 GB of bandwidth a month. You also get 3 domain names and 50 email addresses. WebListings (which boost your search engine visibility) come free, but you’ll still have to pay the add-on fees if you want an online store, SEO services, or paid search ads.
Customer Support
Homestead offers 24/7 support through email and their Community Support Center, where users and staff can respond to your inquiries. If you need real-time assistance, Homestead’s phone and live chat support channels are available during weekday business hours.
What's the Verdict on Homestead?
Homestead Review 2020 – Conclusion
Homestead is not highly recommended as there are other web builders available that are more up to date and have more features. The Starter subscription is practically nothing and you might not even use up the 30 days of the free trial to make up your mind. The best way to go would be the Business (enough for those with average budgets) or the Business Plus (more for corporations or the more established Real Estate Agents) as they provide significantly more features. The final decision is still up to you and if you feel comfortable with Homestead then take the free trial for the Business plan and see for yourself.
