GetLark Pricing and Features
GetLark doesn’t complicate their service with a whole boatload of choices- they have three plans to choose from, each with a significant feature upgrade from the other. Starting off with the Premium plan which is free for the first 3 months then $5.33 per month afterwards ($5 yearly and $4.50 biennially), you get 35 GB of storage, unlimited transfers and email accounts, 5 parked domains and databases, built-in installers with a one-click WordPress installation, and a free SSL certificate for data encryption.
Next comes the Professional Plan at $10 a month ($9.17 per month for annual subscription and $8.25 per month biennially). It bumps the storage to 75 GB, and offers unlimited allocation for transfers, parked domains, email accounts, and databases. It also offers 2 CPU cores for a more powerful computing power. It also includes premium support, SSH access, and a free .com domain.
Last but not the least, comes the Professional Plus plan. At $17.33 a month ($15.83 annually and $14.25 biennially), it boasts of 150 GB of storage, plus all the unlimited features that the previous plan holds.
If your website needs a tailor-fit plan, you can contact their team to set-up a special plan just for you. They also offer other types of managed service, like VPS and dedicated servers, so don’t be afraid to let them know about your requirements and they will suggest a plan that will fit your needs.
Seamless Connection with Clients
If you happen to be working with clients or other web developers for your website, GetLark has made it even easier for all of you to get the task done. You can set individual passwords for each user so there is no need to share passwords among your colleagues. Logging in won’t be a pain as there is a set log in page for the clients.
If you happen to be a developer working on a website for a client, then you’d be happy to know that you’ll receive free hosting during the site building process. You can also enjoy services specifically for development environment, and receive 20% commission for each client that you’ve successfully referred to use GetLark’s services.
You can expect impressive speeds for service management, thanks to their SSD storage. You’ll be able to start and configure a new website within seconds, and deploy new hosts in less than a minute. Moreover, you can check on the status and performance of your accounts from your smartphone, and you’ll be able to see the data needed for analysis all in one place.
Data Centers Here and There
The physical location of data centers greatly affects the speed and loading times of a website. For example, if your website primarily caters US visitors, and the servers are located in another continent, then the data request would have to go back and forth the server before being delivered to the visitor’s screen, and as the servers go further, the delays can be longer. To ensure that your website is able to deliver content at the shortest possible time, GetLark has two data centers, located in Washington DC and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Furthermore, they have a 99.9% uptime, meaning you never have to worry about your website’s availability. With constant digital presence and speed at your side, you can focus on driving more traffic to your website.
GetLark Customer Service
GetLark has a knowledgebase where you can find articles about the different components and processes of web hosting. They also have a support center but it may not be of much help since some categories don’t have any contents at all. You can just send a message to their support team if you have any questions or issues- you can leave a message on their contact page, or shoot them an email. They also have social media accounts in Facebook and Google+, so go ahead and follow them to get the latest news and updates.
What's the Verdict on GetLark?
GetLark Review 2020 – Conclusion
All in all, GetLark is a pretty decent web hosting service with features focusing on speedy performance of websites: SSD storage, cloud based servers, and a 99.9% uptime performance. They also have multiple data centers located both in the US and Europe to avoid any delays in delivery. Back-ups are done every 12 hours which are then saved for 7 days, so you don’t need to worry about losing anything important along the way. While their pricing can be a bit confusing, and there is no customer feedback yet attesting to their performance, they are a cheap service compared to others in the market, and they have a very generous trial period of 3 months- other competitors usually offer 30 days at most. With all these in one basket, GetLark is a cheap, and flexible web host that is worthy of your attention.
